HERITAGE CROCK WITH TRADITIONAL LUG HANDLES (HANDCRAFTED POTTERY)

Crocks are pottery containers used for storing food and water. Two generations ago, every home had crocks dedicated to a purpose. We have taken the functionality of the crock and have interpreted it through the needs of the modern home. The results are stunning: A semi-gloss, wide-mouthed cylinder serving as a candle holder for pillar candles. The traditional "reeding" (the incised bands at the bottom) harkens to the humble roots of the crock. The cobalt blue assents the thinned profile of its lug handles for a humble but commanding appearance that every crock always had. 

What drapes the ware is Kilian's signature Dutch Grey glaze, handcrafted with eight earthen elements, that is cured in the potters' kiln in 2232°F heat.
